Dr. Kelsey’s work connects clinical expertise with family partnership, meaningful activity, and the environments where childhood actually happens.

As an occupational therapist, wife, and mother, Dr. Kelsey understands that a child’s growth is shaped by the people, routines, and environments surrounding them.
She earned her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Huntington University in 2019 after completing interdisciplinary undergraduate study in biology, psychology, and exercise science at Arkansas State University.
Since 2019, she has served children across outpatient, school-based, developmental daycare and pediatric daycare settings, including experience as a pediatric lead therapist. She currently practices in pediatric care and serves as adjunct faculty.

Functional vision and visual-motor skills
Certified as a Pediatric Functional Vision Rehabilitation Specialist, with emphasis on the visual skills children use for learning, movement, and daily activity.
Feeding and whole-child wellness
Training includes pediatric mealtime challenges and a Food as Medicine certification, supporting a respectful, developmentally informed view of feeding and family routines.
Reflex and sensory-motor development
Advanced continuing education includes MNRI dynamic, postural, archetype, and NeuroTactile approaches, with primitive-reflex certification work in progress.
Movement, listening, and orthotics
Additional study includes the Focus System, custom orthotics fabrication, and practical tools for supporting function across everyday activities.
The roots of Novel Heights
Adaptive outdoor programming has been part of the vision from the beginning.
In 2019, Dr. Kelsey completed her doctoral capstone, Novel Heights: Adaptive Camping and Hiking Programming, with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Research and Extension.
In 2022, she developed and implemented a pediatric outdoor camp. She also completed Wilderness First Responder training through the National Outdoor Leadership School in 2019.
These experiences continue to shape the belief that access, healthy challenge, movement, and connection in nature can help people discover new confidence.
