What is pediatric occupational therapy?
Pediatric occupational therapy supports children’s participation in everyday activities such as play, learning, dressing, and family routines. Evaluation helps identify strengths, needs, and goals for individualized care.
What kinds of skills may OT support?
Depending on the child’s needs and evaluation, goals may involve fine motor use, coordination, motor planning, sensory processing, regulation, self-care, and everyday participation. We’ll discuss whether our services fit your child’s needs.
Is Novel Heights providing therapy now?
Yes. Novel Heights has started providing pediatric occupational therapy through a partnership with Hope and Healing. Contact us to discuss current availability; submitting an inquiry does not reserve an appointment.
Where are services provided?
Novel Heights occupational therapy is provided through our partnership with Hope and Healing at the Paragould office: 1500 Crestview Dr., Paragould, AR 72450. Call (870) 926-5710 to schedule services.
Does all therapy take place outdoors?
No. Clinic-based occupational therapy is available through our partnership. Nature remains part of our story and approach; appropriate natural environments may support goals when those services are available. Outdoor participation is not required to receive OT.
How can we get started?

Does an inquiry book an appointment?
No. An inquiry starts a conversation; it does not complete clinical intake, establish a therapist-client relationship, or reserve an appointment.
How are parents and caregivers involved?
Your knowledge of your child’s routines, strengths, and priorities helps shape the care plan. We work together on meaningful goals and practical strategies that fit everyday life.
Do we need a referral, and what payment options are available?
Call Hope and Healing at (870) 926-5710 to discuss scheduling, referral requirements, and payment or coverage questions before beginning care. Physicians should fax occupational therapy referrals to 870-292-3431.
Is Online Parent Coaching available?
Yes. Online Parent Coaching provides educational, consultative support for parents and caregivers. It is separate from occupational therapy, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. No physician referral, diagnosis, or OT evaluation is required to begin Parent Coaching.
Are T.H.R.I.V.E. groups the same as individual OT?
T.H.R.I.V.E. is a separate outdoor small-group pathway with its own program waitlists. An interest form does not guarantee enrollment or establish a therapist-client relationship. Visit the T.H.R.I.V.E. page for the published program timeline and availability updates.
How are outdoor settings and weather considered?
Outdoor activities and settings are considered in relation to goals, access, safety, weather, and individual needs. Ask about the availability and arrangements for the specific outdoor service or program you are considering.
