Experience that shapes the care

Training matters most when families can feel the difference.

Dr. Kelsey’s background supports a whole-child view of regulation, movement, vision, feeding, routines, and meaningful participation.

Broad pediatric practice

Experience across pediatric outpatient clinics, schools, developmental daycare programs and pediatric daycare settings provides perspective on how children function across different environments.

Specialized clinical study

Continuing education includes pediatric functional vision, feeding and mealtime challenges, sensory-motor development, NeuroTactile work, and reflex-integration approaches.

Nature and adaptive access

Her 2019 doctoral capstone developed adaptive camping and hiking programming, and she later developed and implemented a pediatric outdoor camp.

Teaching, leadership, and service

Her background includes lead-therapist experience, adjunct teaching, professional presentations, international service, and recognition with a Servant Leadership Award.

Where Novel Heights began

An outdoor idea became a long-term calling.

The name Novel Heights first appeared in Dr. Kelsey’s doctoral capstone, Novel Heights: Adaptive Camping and Hiking Programming, completed with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Research and Extension.

That early work connected occupational therapy, adaptive access, family education, and the outdoors. Today, the same foundation guides Novel Heights Therapy Services and the developing Novel Heights Foundation.

Our values

What guides the work.

Relationships first

Children need to feel safe, seen, and understood before meaningful growth can happen.

Families as partners

Parents are essential partners in understanding needs and carrying progress into daily life.

Confidence for real life

Progress matters most when it improves routines, relationships, participation, and joy.

We would be honored to meet your family.

Tell us what life looks like right now, and we will help you think through the next step.
